A letter from our founder
I’ve spent over a decade as a health and wellness industry executive. I’ve sat in boardrooms, reviewed industry data, and helped build businesses designed to improve people’s health. I’ve known forever what I should be doing to take care of myself, yet somewhere along the way, I stopped applying any of it to me.
Over the years, the demands of building and running businesses took their toll. I was exhausted in every sense. While I felt proud of what my teams and I had accomplished, I also felt depleted. My weight had steadily risen while my motivation to do anything about it declined. I had high blood pressure. My hair was thinning, I was tired and stressed all the time, and I had that quiet sense of just feeling old.
My doctor had noticed the warning signs. Her answer: eat better and exercise. I knew what I needed to do and had been telling myself this for years. The problem isn’t knowing what to do — most of us do. The problem is not having the capacity or willpower to do it.
When I finally made the time to explore my options, I was referred to a Telehealth physician who approached things differently. Instead of telling me what I should be doing, she put me on a treatment plan designed to address the underlying issues. Within a few months I'd lost weight and had real energy again. And then something happened: I started moving again — walking, mountain biking, swimming — not because I forced myself to, but because I finally felt better and my motivation had returned. I'm now at the same weight I was fifteen years ago, and feeling healthier and staying more active than I have in a long time.
This is my personal journey but I know I’m not alone. I built EOS Health for those who struggle like I did, as well as those who already prioritize their health and wellness and simply want more out of life. I want everyone to have access to the best doctors and the right treatment plans that can help them live a happy, healthy life to the fullest.
